A Chimney Leak Challenge
Our client resides in a lovely two-story Dutch Colonial home in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. He loves the character of his house and appreciates the retro-vintage atmosphere it brings. However, there was trouble in paradise as the homeowner noticed a leak in his chimney. Leaks are bad news for many reasons and he knew he had to get this sorted right away.
James Hardie Siding — The Solution to Failing Stucco
The Ardmore homeowner called to ask us about the leak, and right away, we came to inspect the situation and see what the problem was. He was impressed by our quick response and commended us for walking him through the process and quickly providing solutions to the problem he was facing. Upon inspection, it appeared that the chimney leak was due to old, failing stucco. Our representative suggested replacing the stucco with James Hardie siding. This, along with some new chimney flashing, was certain to fix the leaking problem that the homeowner faced.
When the Porter Family Construction team began remediating the stucco to replace it with James Hardie, they found that there were two layers of stucco — a very rare occasion indeed. This meant additional time to complete the project. After consulting with the client and discussing, our team went to work to complete the project on time since this problem would require a longer demolition process.
The client was not only thrilled that our team was prompt, thoroughly helpful, and communicative, but he was also excited to have the leak in his chimney fixed. The homeowner was pleased from the first visit to the project’s completion. His home’s exterior was upgraded to James Hardie Cedarmill siding in Boothbay Blue, which is sure to draw eyes from all over the neighborhood.
