This project takes us to Media, PA, where we had the privilege of working with a homeowner who was looking to give their McMansion a much-needed facelift.

For this home, we began with a close inspection of the exterior, as well as specific areas such as windows and the basement.
A second appointment allowed us to present a 3D design of the house, created using state-of-the-art hover technology. Together, we finalized the design and made suggestions to ensure that the project fit within their budget without compromising quality. For example, we proposed painting their masonry chimney instead of adding costly stone or siding. Additionally, we added a stunning cedar wood accent to enhance the home’s curb appeal.

Porter Family Exteriors provided a range of services to transform this home into a showstopper. We began by removing the outdated stucco and replaced it with top-of-the-line James Hardie Cedarmill lap siding in the rich and inviting color of Deep Ocean.
To enhance the home’s energy efficiency and aesthetics, we installed 4 ProVia vinyl windows and 3 ProVia patio doors. But we didn’t stop there – our team’s skills in carpentry and design were showcased through the installation of beautiful cedar shiplap accents and gable pediments.
Coordinating Projects and Maintaining Excellence
In this project, we worked closely with the homeowner’s deck contractor to ensure that the removal of the existing deck, our scope of work, and the deck installation were smoothly coordinated. During the removal of the stucco, we encountered unforeseen damaged sheathing and framing. Our experienced team swiftly devised a plan of action, provided transparent cost estimates, and obtained homeowner approvals. This proactive approach ensured that the project stayed on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
